YesDayScotland prepares for The Long Walk To Freedom

Delighted to confirm that we’ll be delivering media for #TheLongWalkToFreedom. We’ll be live from the start at Eilean Donan Castle 18.9.2020 – what an incredibly iconic location for the organisers to choose to start from.

Delivering media on 2018s #500miles walk was one thing. Physically taking part as one of the walkers was another!

(Dave Llewellyn, Dean Woodhouse, Laura Marshall, Jim Stewart, Wren Chapman, Karl J Claridge (and myself) Nicholas Russell)

2018 was also an experience which, when hearing of plans for a further walk in 2020, really left no choice other than to sign up for another 500 miles.

2020’s organisers have asked those who have signed up to walk, for a personal photo, and a reason why. So this is what was summarised.

  • Scotland’s 5 year features writer on blockchain democracy.
  • Have delivered article ranked 1 in the world on this subject via google:
  • All media from outset, 100% voluntary for Scotland.
  • YesDayScotland has delivered all ground-breaking blockchain ‘trial’ polls for Scotland.
  • Delivered project media, as one of 2018’s 500 miles walkers.
  • Motion lodged in Scotland’s Parliament:
  • 2018 onwards for one year, in progress with CEO of blockchain platform Horizon State, World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer award winner, with all project architecture for potential Scotland platform.
  • Subsequently core admin, site project architecture for Scotland’s National Covenant.
  • Has delivered Scotland’s blockchain democracy potentials to Scotland’s government, highlighting system capability dependent on circa £80M funding for new national digital identity scheme, thereby setting Scotland on track to become the world’s most advanced digitalised country.
  • Media in relation to National Covenant progress, implementation, and very specifically, blockchain signatures process.

Writing for the main Digital Scottish Covenant Facebook page:

Here’s a brand new film edit, highlighting the final day of the 2018 #500miles Blockchain walk, concluding with 130,000 citizens massed on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. Then fast forward two years to the actual signature process for the 2020 National Blockchain Covenant. SCOTLAND’S UNBREAKABLE CHAIN Then finishing with highlighting the Eilean Donan start line for The Long Walk To Freedom on 18.9.2020

Profoundly honoured and so very humbled indeed, to have been published yesterday on Scotland’s largest business network, Business for Scotland. This is our fourth article for Business for Scotland, the previous three were all in the abstract, highlighting what Scotland could do in the future with blockchain democracy. This new article is very different, it’s the first time in history that any country on Planet Earth is seeing a direct Call to Action at this presence and scale, involving the combination of blockchain and democracy. Sincere gratitude to Business for Scotland Founder and CE Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp, and director Donald Maclean. Sincere gratitude to YesDayScotland proof-readers and Covenant core admin team. Noted, over a quarter of a thousand overnight shares!
